On January 10, Sha Yiwen, Chief Executive Officer of Messe München Shanghai Co., Ltd. (MM-SH), led a delegation to visit the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA). The delegation was warmly received by Su Zimeng, President of CCMA, and Wu Peiguo, Secretary General of CCMA. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on further strengthening cooperation in jointly organizing bauma CHINA, a globally influential brand exhibition in the construction machinery industry.

Sha Yiwen firstly expressed his appreciation to CCMA and other Chinese partners for their long-standing contributions to the successful organization of bauma CHINA, and highly praised the association’s influence and cohesion within the construction machinery industry. He noted that bauma CHINA has been held biennially in China since 2002 and has successfully completed eleven editions to date. Thanks to the close cooperation with Chinese partners including CCMA, the exhibition has achieved great success and has become one of the most important and large-scale construction machinery exhibitions in Asia. At bauma CHINA 2024, a total of 3,542 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions participated, with a total exhibition area reaching 330,000 square meters.

bauma CHINA 2026 will be held from November 24 to 27, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. To further enhance the value of participation for both exhibitors and visitors, more effectively support Chinese enterprises in expanding into global markets, and deepen technological exchanges and cooperation within the industry both domestically and internationally, MM-SH hopes to work together with CCMA to highlight the latest products and cutting-edge technologies in areas such as electrification and intelligent solutions in the construction machinery industry during the exhibition, while jointly organizing related supporting activities. Leveraging its mature exhibition operation and management system and extensive international customer resources, MM-SH will help elevate the exhibition from a “display venue” to a “platform empowering industry development,” promoting the exhibition toward a higher level of effectiveness and impact.

Su Zimeng warmly welcomed the visit of Sha Yiwen and his delegation. He noted that CCMA has always attached great importance to its cooperation with the Messe München GmbH. As a high-quality platform for global construction machinery brand display and technological exchange, bauma CHINA plays an important role in promoting the industry’s high-end, intelligent and green development, as well as facilitating exchanges on the latest technologies in the sector. CCMA will actively leverage the resource advantages of a national industry association for construction machinery and work together with MM-SH to jointly organize and plan high-quality professional forums and exchange activities during the exhibition period. These efforts will better meet the deeper development needs of exhibiting enterprises, enabling the exhibition to serve not only as a window for industry product displays, but also as a driver for enterprises’ global strategies and a hub for collaborative industrial technological innovation, helping industry enterprises expand into global markets and integrate into the global value chain.
