bauma 2025 Closes Strong, BICES 2025 Sets to Launch
Munich, Germany – April 13, 2025 — The bauma 2025, officially known as the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment, successfully concluded in Munich, Germany.
Over the course of its seven-day run, bauma 2025 brought together 3,601 exhibitors from 57 countries and attracted approximately 600,000 visitors from more than 200 nations and regions. According to the event’s organizer, visitor numbers from countries such as Brazil, Portugal, Romania, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Spain saw significant growth. Notably, the number of Chinese attendees once again reached a record high, surpassing figures from bauma 2019.
Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe München, emphasized the event’s pivotal role in the industry, stating, “bauma serves as a barometer for the sector’s development. It has once again demonstrated the critical role that face-to-face interactions play in driving technological innovation and advancing global trade. This year’s edition has injected strong confidence into the entire industry.”
One of the key highlights of bauma 2025 was the powerful presence of Chinese construction machinery brands. With more than 500 exhibitors, China showcased its robust industrial strength, cutting-edge innovations, and global strategic vision, underlining the immense potential and growing influence of Chinese players in the global construction machinery sector.
In a concerted effort to enable more Chinese enterprises to experience international trends, cutting-edge innovations, and mainstream products in the construction machinery industry up close — and to further promote global cooperation — China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA), together with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME)and other relevant domestic organizations, coordinated the participation of Chinese companies at bauma 2025. In addition, CCMA also organized a professional visiting delegation to attend the exhibition in Germany, aimed at conducting field visits and fostering international exchanges.
During the exhibition, several senior figures from the Chinese machinery industry visited the Chinese exhibitors’ pavilion for in-depth discussions. These included Xu Niansha, Chairman of the China Machinery Industry Federation; Su Zimeng, Chairman of the CCMA; Wu Peiguo, Secretary-General of CCMA; Li Jianyou, Vice Chairman of CCMA; and Qi Jun, Honorary Chairman and Special Advisor of CCMA. They explored the latest Chinese products and technological advancements on display.
Chairman Xu Niansha engaged in deep discussions with enterprises on driving forces behind future development — particularly in areas such as high-end manufacturing, intelligent technology, green practices, and digital transformation. He encouraged companies to consolidate the momentum of high-quality growth, continuously strengthen technological innovation, improve capabilities, enhance resilience, and boost overall competitiveness within the global market.
As bauma 2025 draws to a successful close, anticipation is already building for the next major industry event — China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines and Mining Machines Exhibition (BICES 2025). With the theme “High-End, Green, Smart and Future,” BICES 2025 will focus on three key pillars: high-end manufacturing, intelligent technologies, and sustainable development, aiming to showcase the innovation and vitality of the construction machinery industry both in China and globally.
On April 8, local time in Germany, the BICES 2025 Networking Reception was held by the event’s organizers. During the reception, Mr. Su Zimeng, President of China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) and representative of the BICES 2025 organizing committee, extended a warm and heartfelt invitation to exhibitors, users, industry professionals, media representatives, and visitors from around the world to participate in BICES 2025, which will be held in Beijing from September 23 to 26, 2025. To better facilitate international participation, the BICES 2025 International Visitor Pre-Registration System has officially launched, providing convenient access for global exhibitors and visitors to register in advance.
As golden autumn approaches, the BICES 2025 organizing committee looks forward to welcoming industry colleagues from across the globe to reunite in Beijing — to celebrate achievements, explore new opportunities, and deepen cooperation. With full enthusiasm, attentive services, and sincere friendship, BICES 2025 promises to deliver a high-quality international event for all participants.
